Subject: MCU 12/0104 objection From: John Date: 2014-08-23T22:55:55+00:00 To: Mailbox Council Mail From: John Paul Bloomfield<mailto:[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, 24 August 2014 8:50 AM To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> John Bloomfield, 24/08/2014 PO Box 762 Tewantin 4565 Noosa Council Planning Dept Noosa. Re. Poultry factory/farm at 136 Top Forestry Road, Ridgewood MCU 12/0104 Dear Sir/Madam, As a resident/ratepayer of Noosa Shire I would like to inform you of my opposition to the proposed factory/farm proposed near Cooroy. Although I live at Cooroibah, I regularly use Belli Ck Road to visit Kenilworth as a pleasurable alternative to Eumundi -Kenilworth Road which is heavily used by large trucks. I regard Belli Ck Road as a beautiful country lane rather than a feeder road from the highway to an industrial size development to be used by many very large trucks according to the proposal. I sympathize greatly with the many families who live along the proposed route, let alone the extra chaos around Cooroy township for all who use the already congested junction and roundabouts. The potential for serious accidents is high. As I do not live in the immediate area so my main objection is the safety aspect of the operation due to the inadequate roads in the area. However environmentally I think the application is potentially disastrous to a beautiful hilly rural area. I believe there is another smaller chicken free range farm mooted for that general area which seems much more suitable to the environment, and which would not cause the huge environmental damage that the factory farm would cause. Yours faithfully, John Bloomfield.
