NO TO PROPOSED COOROY BOILER FARM MCU12/0184

Council planning department have recommended a NO VOTE to the proposed
Cooroy boiler farm on Top Forestry Road Ridgewood.
I am a ratepayer at 123 Jorgensens Road Ridgewood for the past 26 years and
I would like to ask you to VOTE NO to this proposal, as have your
professional staff have recommended a NO VOTE.
The liability of allowing this proposal, against your own council officer's
recommendations, puts you and the lives of all local residents both
Sunshine Coast Regional Council and future Noosa Council, at grave risk.
The risks are:
Heavy vehicles on local dirt roads on the School bus route
Noise, Odour and dust travel much further than you would imagine around
these ridges due to the high wind tunnels
A dangerous precedent would be set and ruin property values across this
entire area
No economic benefit to the community
Endangered species would be affected
Air and water pollution would affect other farmers in the area and beyond
who have always choosen NO FACTORY FARMING.
ORGANIC FARMING IS THE FUTURE, LET THE PAST BE IN THE PAST AND TREAT
ANIMALS WITH RESPECT PLEASE GIVE A NO VOTE TOMORROW.
