Response Letter from Recor
Attached to the e-mail RAL23_0002 - LATE Response to Information Request - 35 Pavilion Street_ Pomona.
Figure 1 – Existing Shared Concrete Driveway
The anticipated traffic loads and heavy vehicle movements are not significantly altered
from existing conditions once construction traffic has ceased, with the addition of a
single new dwelling resulting in a potential 7.4 additional trips per day, or 0.78
additional peak hour movements in accordance with the RTA Guide to Traffic
Generating Development Updated Traffic Surveys (2013).
As an existing driveway which currently caters for similar traffic demands, the
additional traffic volume is not considered to be an excessive demand that would
compromise functionality of the access.
8. Provide a concept plan of the proposed driveway and its connection to the
existing driveway.
The plan has been updated to indicate the proposed driveway and connection to the
existing access driveway.
9. Provide swept path plans at the junction of the existing and proposed driveway.
The swept paths must be for a B99 vehicle as described in AS/NZS2890.1:2004
and the vehicle types that can be reasonably expected to utilise the driveway
for construction purposes (eg building material deliveries, concrete truck etc)
A plan of the swept paths has been provided as plan 060 Swept Paths. The plans show
a B99 vehicle is able to enter and exit from the proposed driveway. An MRV vehicle
has been used as an indicative construction vehicle to demonstrate the extent of the
expected swept paths for these vehicles. Construction traffic will be able to enter and
exit the site however on departing the travelled path will extend beyond the concrete
driveway. Any damage to the adjacent grasses surface or driveway would be repaired
at the closeout of construction.
