Site Details:
Description The allotment is 15.579 ha in are and of irregular shape. The details in this report
are to augment our report SER 2184 (November 2020). The SER 2184 report
addresses engineering foundation and effluent disposal parameters for the
proposed farm stay cottage to be sited in the far northeastern allotment
corner. This report reviews engineering parameter for building and effluent
application in the southeastern allotment quadrant.
The proposed structures include-:
* home office
* 2 X studio cottages
It is understood the proposed structures are to be clad and supported by pad
footings or a 'sure foot' footing system and suspended timber floor. On-site
effluent disposal required with tank water supply. Photographs attached.
Topography Contours overlain on PLATE 1/2. All proposed structures are upon a common
ridge-line. The cross fall is from the east to the west. Locally the office/ cabin is
upon a flattened crown with moderate/ steep grades extending to the
receding gully. The flank to the north grades at 1:3 (V:H). The proposed studio
cabins are on the flank that grades at 1:12 (V:H) with steeper grades on the
northern flank of 1:6/ 1:4.
Vegetation Short pasture grasses, stands of large trees to the east/ southwest and within
the receding gully head. Root networks over the land surface.
Drainage The ridge line has a cross fall to the west, with the predominate fall to the
north/ northwest. Receding gully and depression over the northern flank.
Small dam, well away. All building areas and the flank proposed for effluent
application are well drained. The access driveway is below the general land
surface.
Geology Regionally described as the Kin Kin Beds.
Typical rock types are-:
