Figure 3-2 Proposed Southern Bin Storage (Push, 2026) 3.2 Collection Access The proposed development adopts a dual waste collection arrangement to efficiently service all dwellings while responding to site constraints and frontage conditions. Waste generated from the southeastern portion of the development will be presented for kerbside collection along Myall Street. This allows for conventional kerbside servicing in accordance with typical residential collection practices, minimising the need for waste vehicles to enter the site from this frontage. Waste generated from the northern and southern portions of the development will be collected via on-site servicing. A front-loading refuse collection vehicle will enter the site in a forward direction via the Maple Street driveway and proceed to the designated bin bay (refer to Figure 3-1), where the bins will be serviced on site. Following collection, the vehicle will reverse and perform a three-point turn before exiting the site in a forward direction onto Maple Street. Swept path assessments have been undertaken to ensure the waste collection vehicle can safely enter and exit the site (refer to Figure 3- 3). The internal access arrangement has been designed to allow collection vehicles to safely and efficiently service the designated bin storage area while maintaining adequate circulation for other vehicles. As demonstrated in Figure 3-3, traffic is able to move freely around the waste collection vehicle during servicing operations.
