Delegated Power:

1.   To exercise the powers of council pursuant to the Local Government Act 2009.


 DESCRIPTION OF POWER DELEGATED                                                    LEGISLATION

 Rates & Charges - Overdue
 Power to register a charge over land for overdue rates and charges under Section 95
 section 95 of the Local Government Act 2009.
 Power to lodge documents with the Registrar of Titles for release of the          Section 95
 charge if overdue rates and charges are paid.
 Power to sign a certificate as to a charge over land for overdue rates and        Section 95(3)
 charges.


2.   To exercise the powers of local governmentCouncil under the Local Government
     Regulation 2012.

 Power to identify, in any way considered appropriate, parcels of rateable         Section 77(2)
 land to which a minimum amount of general rates apply.
 Power to identify, in any way considered appropriate, the rating category to      Section 81(4)
 which each parcel of rateable land in the local government area belongs.
 Nb. this section is only required where Council is levying differential general
 rates.
