GEOTECHNICAL REPORT
1.0 INTRODUCTION

Coffey Geotechnics Pty I.td (Coffey) was commissioned by Mr Chris Stevenson of Hutchinson Builders
to undertake geotechnical investigations and analysis in order to determine the footing design
parameters and Classification in accordance with AS2870 - 1996 for the central facilities building at the
Noosa Sanctuary Development in Noosa Drive in Noosa.

Itis understood that the proposed building consists of a two storey building above ground with 2 single
storey tanked basement carpark below ground.

2.0 SITE DESCRIPTION

The Noosa Sanctuary site is located at the toe of a dunal slope off the southeastern side of the mouth
of Weyba Creek. It is bound in the south by Noosa Drive, in the north and west by the estuarine
wetlands at the outlet of Weyba Creek and at the eastern end by an adjacent development.

The earthworks on the site were previously undertaken under a Level 1 Overview conducted by Bowler
Geotechnical The northern side of the site ig now level at an elevation of about RL 2.6 metres AHD.
Bowler report that the uppar peaty soils were removed prior to the placement of fill and ali fill has been
certitied as controlled fill in accordance with AS2870-1996.

The building site lies between an access track and a lagoon on the site, The area is level with a cover
of mawn grass. There are no trees in near proximity to the site.
