5      PARKING REQUIREMENTS

Car parking requirements for the proposed development are specified under the
Noosa Plan and in Australian Standards 2890.1:2004 Off‐Street Car Parking.



5.1    Noosa Council Requirements
The requirements for parking are indicated in Part 14 Codes for Development, Table
14‐51 Minimum Vehicle Parking Requirements. A summary of requirements for car
parking spaces is shown in Table 1 below.

       Compliance with Council Requirements
       The development comprises of medical spaces with a combined gross floor
       area (GFA) of 968m2 and use area of 880m2. The proposed development has
       made provision for 44 on‐site parking spaces including 1 disabled space. There
       are 12 tandem spaces which will specifically be allocated for all day staff. There
       is an allocated ambulance bay as well as a combined Van and SRV bay.

       The proposal complies with the minimum number of required car parking
       spaces.

       A total of 11 bicycle parking spaces are provided and 8 motorcycle spaces.
       Bicycle and motorcycle parking have been located conveniently in the
       basement car park, adjacent to the lobby lift area, with convenient access to
       end of trip facilities.
