SERVICES & ORGANISATION COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA 11 MAY 2021

e It is difficult for me to express sufficient appreciation for our Council staff who are at the frontline of
providing services to our community every day. These are the unsung heroes of our Council. Whether
it is putting out lane ropes at the Aquatic Centre at 5.30am, cleaning up beaches early in the morning
after Schoolies, grading gravel roads on quiet country back roads or helping people select the right library
book, our staff go above and beyond every day in helping our community. Their flexibility and endeavour
during the Covid-19 pandemic is particularly worthy of note.

e have had the privilege of dealing with so many different Noosa community, environment and business
organisations, residents and ratepayers over the years. Everyone in Noosa shares a passion for this place.
As Councillors will recall me saying on a number of occasions, “everyone in Noosa agrees on the why, all
of the arguments are about the how”. That reflects the shared values within the community and a
      passion to keep Noosa special.

In closing, | would like to thank the current and previous Councils for their faith in me as CEO. It has been an
honour to serve the Noosa community and to lead this great organisation.

   Yours faithfully
