Risk & Opportunities
Periodic reporting of departmental performance allows Council to fulfil their governance
responsibilities and ensures transparency within the organisation and to the community.
While the impact of COVID-19 on departmental operations has lessened this quarter some
departmental projects/programs are impacted e.g. delays in training delivery and workforce planning.
In response Managers are focusing on branch planning, reviewing priorities and resource allocation,
and risk management.
Increasing demand for Governance Services and limited resources within the branch have resulted
in the delay of several governance projects including policy development and the progress in
implementing the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. A review of Governance Arrangements
will commence on 10 May 2021 and temporary additional resources have been allocated to increase
support to the Branch.
