Dear Noosa Council Development Application Team, We have reviewed the application by the Calile Group to develop a luxury hotel in Serenity Close. As residents of Serenity Close, we welcome and appreciate many aspects of the new, improved proposal such as the retention of the 6 metres of bush along Serenity Close, the removal of the 15 initial villa units which were planned, and the substantial addition of car spaces within the hotel. Our concerns relate to traffic safety due to congestion issues, and how these might be addressed :- 1. Restricting parking to one side of Serenity Close (preferably the southern side) so that there is a free flow of traffic (especially on rubbish collection days and to permit easy access by emergency vehicles such as ambulances or SES); 2. Provision of resident parking permits for Serenity Close with parking to be limited to 2 hours for non-residents; 3. Yellow lines to restrict parking near the entrances to the various apartment complexes in Serenity Close so that residents have clear visibility when exiting 4. Deliveries to the hotel to be scheduled to avoid rubbish pickups 5. Grant Street is very narrow, with the two lanes divided by hard rock which is often scraped by vehicles. Could the opening of Banksia be considered as an option to reduce traffic on Grant street and improve overall safety of pedestrians and drivers alike? Thank you for your consideration on these matters, Kind Regards, Wendy and Derek Scott Wendy Scott Mobile: 0407 068 386
