That Council note the report by the Governance Advisor to the Planning & Organisation Committee

(provided at Attachment 1 to the report);

REPORT
This report outlines the recent steps taken by Council in the development of the Noosa Shire
Council Local Laws No 1 to No 6 (the proposed Local Laws) and the Noosa Shire Council
Subordinate Local Laws No 1 to No 6 (the proposed Subordinate Local Laws), and outlines the
proposed future progress in accordance with the Local Law Making Process (the Approved
Process), which was adopted by Council on 28 August 2014. (Note - Hard copies of the proposed
Local Laws and proposed Subordinate Local Laws have previously been distributed to Councillors.
A hard copy of Attachments 1 & 2 is available in the Councillors Room).
To avoid any doubt, the extent of the above recommendation is only to propose to adopt the
proposed Local Laws and to propose to make the proposed Subordinate Local Laws. Accordingly,
Council’s current Local Laws and Subordinate Local Laws remain in force and still apply until such
time that Council formally adopts new Local Laws and new subordinate Local Laws.
