MCU13/0266 PM Submission Object Daniel & Sandra Barwick
Subject: RE Application MCU13/0226 and REC13/0148 From: Sandra BARWICK Date: 2014-08-19T20:47:53+00:00 To: Mailbox Council Mail Dear Noosa Council, We are writing to OBJECT to the development proposal at the end of Blue Wren Place Cooroy. Our Street was developed for the existing houses only. It has insufficient capacity for the extra 25 house and with approx 2 cars per house our street will not cope with the extra traffic flow let alone the heavy vehicles and ongoing trades people. As it is if there is one car parked to the side of the street it reduces the traffic flow to allow only one car. The amount of trees and vegetation that needs to be removed is obscene. It is high value Koala land and is home to a lot of wildlife including the kangaroos who have already been displaced due to other development in the area. Bird life including black and white Cockatoos , Pheasants and other small marsupials will be become homeless. Where is the dedicated green space??? Another concern is when we receive high volumes of rain. The creek overflows and floods the easement land on Lake MacDonald drive. Previously the road has cut off the bottom houses in Blue Wren Place, are you willing to put another 25 houses out?? The concern with the future development is how will affect the lay of the land? Where is the water going to flow??( Please see photos below) Please considered all these factors when making your decision, does Cooroy need to be turned into Suburbia?? We think not, we have a responsibility to our community to keep the land as it is, not have it rezoned for a developer to cut up into tiny parcels and make more money for themselves. Once it's gone it's gone. Regards, Daniel and Sandra Barwick 7 Blue Wren Place Cooroy.
