e Relocation of hollow logs and limbs to habitat areas by the wildlife ecologist in

e No feeding of native fauna and rubbish bins to be “animal-proof”;

e Installation of permanent fauna friendly fences within the residential single allotments;

e Earthmoving vehicles to be in possession of appropriate certification (eg. fire ant and
weed free);

e Minimise weed dispersal through installation of a wash down construction facility on exit
and entry; and

e Nestbox monitoring, where necessary.

4.3 OPERATIONAL STAGE

Fauna management measures during the operational stage are to be implemented (and
monitored) through the Environmental Management Plan, Community Management
Statements (Residential High Density), Conservation Land Management Plan (ie. RF
Thompson Environmental Park) and Environmental Covenants (private open space for
conservation and waterways protection within the Residential High Density and Residential
Single Development). Specific measures relating to fauna in the development and
restoration areas will be monitored (or supervised), where appropriate, by the wildlife
ecologist. Management of the RF Thompson Environmental Park will be the responsibility of
the assigned managing body following dedication. Environmental Covenants will be
registered over the title for the private open space for conservation and waterways
protection areas within the Residential High Density and Residential Single Dwelling
developments.

In the Residential High Density development fauna management will be controlled by an
Environmental Covenant (ie. management of vegetation in the private open space for
conservation and waterways protection areas) and by the Community Management
Statements. In the Residential Single Dwelling development, fauna management measures
will be the responsibility of individual lot owners in accordance with the Environmental
Covenants (ie. management of vegetation in the private open space for conservation and
waterways protection areas in Lots 1-15 and 24-33). The “Caring for your Bushland
Environment” information guideline (detailed in the Landscape Master Plan) provides
valuable advice and information for Residential Single Dwelling lot owners regarding their
environmental responsibilities (including fauna measures) for all areas of their lots.

Ecological Restoration Plan & Specifications
