51 Tingara Crescent, Sunrise is on the fringe of a medium-low density residential area. This isn't a tourist zone. There are houses on one side of the road, and town-homes and units on the other side, mainly occupied by permanent residents. The parking is already at its limit and the adjacent street is a dead end. Putting another STA in here is going to impact on every aspect of amenity in this little corner of Sunrise.

This house is large enough (4 Beds, 3 Baths 2 Carspaces) for gatherings: the idea that a quiet family will be willing to pay to "short-term-let" this house is absurd. There will be probably groups of singles or 4 families renting it if the past history of large home STAs in Sunrise is an indicator.

The home is on a raised block of land. It has an ocean view and a large deck which overlooks two streets. There is a large deck opening from the main living area. We walk past here all the time and when all the windows/doors are open the sounds of occupants travel across to the neighbouring properties.
The locals are already complaining that these large "party houses" generate increased noise, rubbish, traffic and parking congestion, and the short-stayers can be loud, drugged or drunk and therefore impossible to reason with. Sounds travel more at night and even when there are quieter folks, when they sit outdoors drinking and talking you can still hear them clearly. There is also a security risk of not knowing who is renting these premises. The transient nature of the stays means the occupants don't care what happens after they leave (often in a hurry) with a complete disregard for the garbage or the frayed nerves of the neighbours they've left behind. Until there is a realistic and workable and enforceable "Code of Conduct" as law a house of this size should be limited to the current Land Use which is a single family residential dwelling .
This house has been listed for rent in the past year and rentals are in short supply. We need more, not less. There is a long-term effect developing in our suburb of an increase in STAs and the consequential decrease in permanent residences. We've got 3 schools in Sunrise Beach. Where are the families going to live if these STAs keep taking over the properties?

Please don't approve this. Keep Sunrise for residents.
