Dear Gavin,
RE: 3 Garnet Street, Cooroy – Noise – Response to Council Request for Information
Verve Building Design and Concepts (VerveBD) on behalf of Creekgold Pty Ltd has requested that
MRG Environmental (MRG) review and provide a response to Noosa Shire Council’s (NSC) request for
information dated 15 March 2016 (MCU16/0012).
This letter provides a response to NSC’s request for information (Item 19) and is based on
correspondence between MRG and NSC representative Geoff Atherfold.
Telephone and email correspondence (12/04/2016 and 28/04/2016) were exchanged between MRG
and NSC staff. This correspondence further clarified the details within the report (0101-R1-01 dated
2/02/2016). Mr Atherfold agreed that delivery vehicle hours of operation should be restricted as
proposed within the acoustic assessment.
Mr Atherfold stated that given this additional detail no further information was required, with the
exception of an additional noise assessment of the rooftop plant and equipment. Given that the
exact rooftop plant and equipment details are not known at this time, MRG recommended (email
dated 28/04/2016) that the assessment form part of the conditions package. A condition should be
included which requires the rooftop mechanical plant to be reassessed at detail design stage once
the exact specifications are known.
