Reference Document - Bushfire Hazard Assessment Report
[15]
Signage
i. All tracks and gates are to be numbered with High visibility signage so as to inform any
rural fire fighting team a reference should they be required to access the land to assist
in grass fire management operations. It is likely that non-local rural fire brigades would
be involved in a broad fire suppression operation and as such, they would not be
familiar with the property or the local area.
Building and structure protection
i. All buildings are to have a minimum 20-metre asset protection zone around each
building.
ii. All fences, perimeter and internal, are to have a 5metre either side of the fence cleared
of groundcover and shrubs to assist in the protection of those structures and to permit
regular maintenance of those fences.
