           3. RESULTS
                3.1.           Desktop assessment

                     3.1.1. MNES

           No MNES were found to be applicable to the project area.

                     3.1.2. Fauna

           A search of the PMST and WildNet databases was undertaken, identifying the species listed as
           CREVNT under the NC Act and/or the EPBC Act that have potential to occur within 1 km of the project
           area.
           Searches returned a total of fifty-one (51) listed threatened fauna species, and fourty-five (45) listed
           migratory species. These search tools rate the likelihood of occurrence from ‘may occur’, ‘likely to
           occur’ to ‘known to occur’ based on the presence of suitable habitat for foraging and/or breeding.
           Generated reports have been provided as Appendix II.
           Due to the large list of species returned via this tool, an additional assessment was undertaken,
           considering:
                 •    Whether the site contained suitable breeding/roosting locations for the species
                 •    Whether the site contained suitable foraging resources for the species
           Assessments determined that seven (7) species have a moderate to high likelihood of occurring within
           the study area (Table 3).
