                4.7.           Habitat Rehabilitation and Protection
           Rehabilitation of retained habitat areas should be undertaken along with the vegetation management
           commitments prescribed by Noosa Shire Council within the Development Application approval
           conditions. The following treatments and strategies will further benefit fauna within the retained
           habitat.

                                          • Placing hollow tree trunks randomly in the retained area collected from the
                                             clearing areas to provide additional habitat values
                                          • Placing rocks in the retained habitat from the cleared area to provide additional
                                             habitat.

                                       Stockwell Design and Construction are strongly encouraged to install, maintain and
                                       monitor an appropriate number of nest boxes to compensate for lost tree hollows.
                                       Proposed receiving sites for nest boxes, hollow logs and rocks include the area titled
                                       “Covenant J” and the Environmental Management and Conservation Zone.

                                       The Fauna Spotter Catcher is responsible for:
                                          • Talking to the vegetation clearing contractors to relocate hollow trees, logs and
                                              rocks
                                       The Clearing Contractor is responsible for:
                                          • Working with the Fauna Spotter Catcher to relocate hollow trees, logs and rocks
                                       The Ecologist is responsible for:
                                          • Determining the final quantity and type of nest boxes to be installed
                                          • Undertaking monitoring of nest boxes at the nominated time periods
