Attached to the e-mail MCU14/0102 PM Submission Object - Nigel Hughes Noosa Pit Stop.
Noosa Council Po Box 141 Tewantin 4565 Re proposed development Mcu 14/0102 139 Eumundi Rd Noosaville Dear sir / madam, I am writing to voice a few concerns re the development proposal at 139 Eumundi Road, some of the submitted data is not relevant and is outdated, the information for the tyre store car parking was collated in 2004 and was at Stafford on the north side of Brisbane. (Appendix a) The plan proposes 10 car parking bays for the tyre and mechanical store, we currently lock up fifteen cars every night and have 10 new appointments booked in for the following day, plus car parking for 5 staff , so currently we are using 25 parking bays. (See appendix b photgraph) Also take into consideration of delivery vehicles to just my business and a recent survey reported 15 deliveries from other local parts supply businesses. Noosa Pit Stop is well established and respected business and have 16 dependants supported through employees and our families, all of our expenditure is spent in town as we are also residents. It is my opinion there is an oversupply of tyre shops in Noosaville and we are spoilt for choices for take away food and don’t support the views of the developers plan for another place to eat, I fear for the financial viability of the business this proposal may take away from the current local retailers. I can see the sight becoming a traffic nightmare, because of the lack of for sight from this proposal. Also of concern is having a large volume of fuel being stored in close proximity to a school. Please also see the attached video which shows at the time of writing there are 49 cars here for service or repair between me and ottos muffler shop , this is the volume of cars required for any proposed tyre or mechanical shop needs to be profitable because of the huge rent required to be here. Yours sincerely . fv oo Nigel Hughes
