MCU 18 0166 Submission - Boyd Robinson.msg
Subject: Objection - Cooran NBN From: Boyd Robinson Date: 2019-06-17T03:41:52+00:00 To: Mailbox Council Mail Submission - Material Change of Use - Service and Utility Type 3 tower Application # MCU 18/0166 244 Tablelands Rd<x-apple-data-detectors://1> Cooran Lot 22 SP 148684 Property ID 154492 I submit an objection to the above application on the basis that it will create an adverse visual impact, particular to the users of the Noosa Trail. The Noosa Plan states that "new uses and works are located, designed and managed to avoid significant adverse impacts on the amenity enjoyed by users of other premises, including acoustic and visual qualities”. The proposed structure site would be visible from the users of the Noosa Trail Network. At one of the vantage points along the trail, the view of the tower would be inescapable on a ridge close to the track, equivalent to several storeys above the tree line. Before consideration of the application, I urge council to be aware that the intent of the Mary River Catchment plan is to maintain the amenity enjoyed by users, and this means not only for residents, but also users, tourists and groups who choose to make this area a destination for visual appreciation. The tower would create adverse negative visual impact, not avoid it. If the Noosa Council is committed to maintaining the amenity of the Noosa Trail network, this tower must be sited elsewhere.
