areas, mapped in the current Noosa Plan.
Agree to the need to reinstate Biodiversity Overlay to include the area covered by the
environmental covenant on the Viridian site and the council managed bushland reserves adjoining
the site. This is consistent with the intent for these protected vegetated areas to be conserved.
Send map amendments through to the State government (Herbarium) for correction to Regional
Ecosystem Mapping.

Overlay applies to the site as it is unlikely the biodiversity values have not been diminished, please?
The Biodiversity Overlay was not mapped over the Tourist Accommodation Zone on this property
in error. Vegetation on the site is protected under the current planning scheme and under the
Vegetation Management Act (category C – high value regrowth and category b – remnant
vegetation). The biodiversity overlay for the New Noosa Plan should be applied as per the State’s
2017 regional ecosystem mapping. This provides consistency in the mapping of the Overlay for
the new planning scheme.

Submitters' property is entirely covered by the Biodiversity Significance layer and the MSES
