Any requirement for bushfire-response access will be considered only on the recommendation
of qualified bushfire specialists and in liaison with Council.

3. Fire Prevention Management


Fire-prevention practices will integrate professional bushfire-risk advice within ecological
vegetation management. These practices will:

• slow and, where possible, prevent the spread of bushfire;
• reduce potential fuel loads near household structures; and
• maintain vegetation with higher moisture content that naturally reduces fire intensity.

No new planting or ground-disturbing works are proposed as part of this phase. Land under
Noosa Council control between the common-property boundary and Lake Weyba will continue
to rely on Council’s own fire-mitigation programs.

4. Monitoring and Evaluation


Monitoring will focus on assessing the effectiveness of weed-control actions and natural-
regeneration responses within the escarpment. Maintenance frequency will depend on seasonal
conditions. Field contractors will provide activity and herbicide-use logs consistent with existing
Body-Corporate management-agreement protocols.
