Hi Jack,
I have reviewed the proposed car parking layout located in the South East corner of the proposed development at 130 and 134 Eumundi Noosa Rd, Noosaville.
It is noted that Council had raised concerns regarding carparks 1, 2, 12, 13, and 18.
The proposed attached plan and below comments address these concerns.
The justification for the proposed carpark layout includes:
For carpark 1 and 2. - These carparks have been labeled as staff parking. These parks will cater for staff from Pit Stop mechanics. Vehicles in these car parks are likely to occupy the car parks for a considerable time. It is proposed that vehicles accessing these parks will drive down the aisle that houses carparks 10-12 before reversing into the correct park. To exit, vehicles will drive forward down the aisle housing carparks 10-12. Then reverse towards carparks 7, before driving out in a forward gear. It is noted that this is greater than a 3 point turn, however as the carparks are intended to only be accessed by staff on an infrequent basis, this solution is considered acceptable.
Car park 12. A longer reversing area has been provided behind car park 14 for car park 12 to utilise. This area has been sized to enable the vehicle in car park 12 to reverse into this area before driving out in a forward gear.
Carpark 13. Carpark 13 has been removed and replaced with 4 motorcycle bays.
Carpark 18. Car park 18 is proposed to be accessed in a forward gear. A maneuvering area has been installed to the east of carpark 18 to improve the ease of exiting the carpark. There is sufficient room for a B85 vehicle to exit clear of carparks 14 - 17. As this is a non-standard carpark, this carpark should be labeled as a staff carpark.
