CCIQ Noosa #3 Noosa Convention & Cultural Centre Initiative
Pre-feasibility Study April 2016
Industry approach;
Corporate sponsors etc identifying with multiple events at different times;
"A season of events";
"A season of exceptional product";
Quality, intimacy, location, and
A place of excellence.
There are already good organisational structures around all three parts of environment, tourism and
events. All of these have a proven history. What they potentially don't have are the benefits,
revenue generation, community prosperity and an even greater reputation for "Brand Noosa" which
can come from “an industry approach” and a recognition by all parties that this, all of this under one
organisational “structure” such as a Noosa Institute (not designed to interfere in the running of each
event), is the permanent all-season Industry of Noosa in which everyone from the council through to
the environment, tourism and events community can join.
This is not something necessarily requiring monetary support. This is up to individual event
organisers. It’s largely attitudinal. But it does encourage behavioural change in areas such as
(common theme) marketing and promotion, transport, traffic and parking policy, availability (and
knowledge of style and variety) of venue, Council in sync, mentoring support and advice, branding
and product promotion.
