REFERENCE - DA - MCU24/0084
658 Louis Bazzo Rd Ringtail Creek 4565
Development permit for material change of use - function
facility/wedding venue
I wish to make the following objections to the above Developoment Application.
• TRAFFIC - Of great concern is the amount of additional traffic on Louis Bazzo
Drive which at the best of times is quite a dangerous road. With additional traffic
due to visitors/guests to the above site who are unfamiliar with the road, it's
conditions and the wildlife that regularly traverse that road, the danger will only
be increased for locals like myself and also the guests who will be arriving and
departing the site late at night.
•
• BUSES & SERVICE VEHICLES - Buses bringing guests, trucks bringing porta
loos, food supplies, building materials, additional garbage trucks etc will greatly
increase the danger on this road which currently has little to no overtaking
sections which will potentially increase impatience for local drivers. Impatience
shouldn't happen but it will.
•
• LIQUOR - With liquor being served at the site the above concerns are increased.
I for one don't want to be worried about who I'm going to come across leaving
that venue while driving home especially at night. Will there be a car on the
wrong side of the road, will guests be speeding on roads they're not familiar with
etc?
•
• NOISE LEVELS - Noise travels at night and particularly in rural areas. Amplified
music will impact the peace and serenity that we all currently enjoy in this rural
area resulting in a disruption to our chosen lifestyle and this is not something that
will be happening occasionally but potentially happening 7 days a week
according to the DA.
•
• DUST AND POLLUTION - This will increase affecting everyone in the immediate
and surrounding locations.
•
• ANIMAL SAFETY - Koala habitat will be disrupted by additional vehicles, people
and the noise.
•
• PROPERTY VALUES - This application will have a detrimental impact on
properties in the immediate area and further beyond if they are subjected to
noise, dust, traffic late at night when it's normally quiet and loud voices that will
definitely travel in the stillness of the night.
•
• FUTURE DEVELOPMENT AND EXPANSION - There's no doubt that this DA will
only be a foot in the door for the developers who will in time seek to expand their

operations by adding accommodation and public access to restaurants and
public functions.
I urge you to consider the implications for us locals so that we can continue to enjoy our
beautiful environment for which we have chosen to reside in.
Please reject this application outright. It's not the place, it's not the time, it's going to be
disastrous for the environment and the animals and humans who call this area home.
Kind Regards
Gayle Angeline
