Thank you for the opportunity to make comment on the proposed RV Stop in Cooroy.

Club Coo roy RSL would like to formally offer our support for the proposal put forward by the Noosa Shire Council.

There has been an ongoing need in the Cooroy area to have a suitable area put aside for recreational vehicles to stop
close to amenities. Noosa Council's proposal of utilizing the area adjacent to the Car Club and Pony Club Grounds is a
welcome solution to the current situation of Recreation Vehicles parking in an unregulated manner about the town. The
new format will allOw certainty for visitors to the area and a passive income stream for some of our not for profit organisa-
tions associated with the Council owned land that has been specified for the initiative.

A Noosa Shire Council managed Recreational Vehicle Stop with facilities and services as outlined in the CMCA "RV
Friendly Town Scheme" will ensure that the RV Stop initiative meets all legal, functional and social requirements. Once
Cooroy is classified as "RV Friendly", "Leave No Trace" accredited Recreational Vehicles and "Leave No Trace" campers
that are fUlly self- contained will bring some much needed tourist income to the area. This initiative once up and running
will be an asset to the Shire and the township of Cooroy.
