15. Provide a flora survey report of the site in accordance with “Flora Survey Guidelines –
Protected Plants Nature Conservation Act 1992” DEHP Queensland Government 2014.

Response:
Refer attached Protected Plants Survey undertaken by Core Consultants in accordance with the Flora
Survey Guidelines – Protected Plants Nature Conservation Act 1992 DEHP. This report establishes that
no species considered endangered, vulnerable or near threatened under the Nature Conservation Act
were identified and additionally, no species considered protected under the Environment Protection
and Biodiversity Conservation Act were identified.

16. Provide a fauna survey report of the site in accordance with Terrestrial Vertebrate Fauna
Survey Guidelines for Queensland, Ecological Sciences, Queensland Herbarium, November
2014 (V 2.0) that documents any occurrences of endangered, vulnerable, near threatened or
locally significant species as defined by the Nature Conservation Act 1992 and Fauna and Its
Associated Biodiversity Values in Noosa Shire.

Response:
Given the findings and information contained within the Ecological Assessment submitted with the
application a fauna survey is not considered necessary. The report concludes that the site is
considered regrowth vegetation and is considered to contain significantly less ecological values than
the area immediately surrounding the Site. The area located immediately adjacent to the site is Noosa
National Park which contains significant ecological values including significant habitat and
connectivity.

While the report identifies a range of potential and probable fauna species that may occur on the site,
it indicates that the majority of these species are highly mobile and while may occur on the Site are
unlikely to be significantly impacted by the proposed works.

This is further supported by the attached Ecological Assessment prepared by Cardno for the landowner
QIC. This report provides a Fauna survey and habitat assessment and which includes the proposed
development area. No endangered, vulnerable, near threatened or locally significant species were
recorded over the proposed development area.

17. Provide a summary ecological assessment of the biodiversity values of the site with regard to
the findings of the flora and fauna surveys, by a suitably qualified person.

Response:
The Ecological Assessment submitted with the application provides a summary of the biodiversity
values of the site.

18. Indicate on the relevant plans a pathway connection from the proposed development to the
        existing external pathway network.

Response:
A pathway connection is proposed from the proposed development to the existing external pathway
network and is shown on the attached amended Proposal Plans and Landscape Plans.

19. Indicate on the required “road” dedication on the relevant plans.

Response:
Refer attached amended Proposal Plans which show a road dedication area in the north-western
corner of the site.
