Information response
Attached to the e-mail Response to Info Request, Landscape plans & amended Proposal Plans (1) - 1 of 4 - MCU16/0081.
32. Preliminary details of expected waste volumes, bin sizes and numbers, and waste storage area
requirements.
Response:
The applicant, Arcare, currently operates 26 aged care residences, including 10 in south-east
Queensland. Arcare enters into commercial agreements with waste removal companies to provide
waste collection services. Similar capacity facilities to that proposed have one 3000 litre general waste
bin which is emptied weekly and one 3000 litre recycling bin which is emptied fortnightly. The
proposed bin store at the north-eastern corner of the building is sufficiently sized to accommodate
this waste storage.
The Information and Referral Stage of IDAS has now concluded. We ask that you now provide details
of adjoining owners in order that we may commence the public notification of the application.
Should you have any questions with respect to the above, please do not hesitate to contact me direct.
Yours faithfully
