4.0    PRE- AND POST-DEVELOPMENT URBS MODELS

4.1    Model Set-Ups

The model set-up for the pre-development scenario is shown in Figure 2, below. The model structure has
10 subareas spread across four branches of the model, with between two and five subaraeas in each
branch. This is comfortably more than the preferred minimum of five subareas for an overall model, but
somewhat less than a minimum of five subareas per branch. Overall though, the degree of model
subdivision is suggested to be adequate for the preliminary nature of this design study.

The corresponding coding of the Urbs catchment file for this pre-development scenario can be seen in
Appendix B hereto.
