MCU12/0184 Concerns about development approval Tony Enchelmaier
Subject: cr bcs 1192 FYI Mayor MCU12/0184 Cooroy Broiler Farm at Ridgewood From: Tony and Stacey Date: 2013-12-05T12:52:42+00:00 To: Internet Mailbox Sunshine Coast Regional Council Hi Mark Jamieson, I am writing to voice my grave concern at the proposed Cooroy Broiler Farm at Ridgewood. It makes absolutely no sense to pass and approve the proposed Broiler Farm on top of a ridge that will require huge earthworks to fit the proposed sheds. The run off into Blackfellows creek and then the Mary river could destroy animal and plant species/habitat The wild dog population would love a broiler farm as they have already attacked my dog and calves in the area. The safety of children playing outside would be put at risk by the growth in numbers and demand for food. As a resident only 2 properties over from the proposed site I am more than worried about the antibiotic and pathogen build up that will be caught on my roof and end up in my drinking water. The health concerns are huge to all in the area including all the children that we know of in the area. Especially my 2 daughters Grace and Joy who are 10 and 7 years old. The condition of Top Forestry Road is only just passable for cars let alone trucks. The dirt road would throw off a lot of dust from the volume of traffic and increase the risk of accidents. My children are up on the road collecting mail and putting rubbish in the bins regularly. There safety would be at risk from the growth and size in traffic. There has been no EIS done on the proposed farm and I think this would throw the idea out the window if this was done. I would ask that you please refuse/reject the application for this proposal on Health and Environmental grounds. I await your response and acknowledgement of this letter. Thank You Tony Enchelmaier 77 King Parrot Lane Ridgewwod, 4563
