5.10 Noosa Local Group Membership and Responsibilities
Noosa LDMG Membership as at September 2017

 Chairperson      Cr Tony             • To chair Local Group meetings and provide the primary

                                      • Manage and coordinate the business of the Group, to
                                        ensure as far as practicable, that the Group performs its
                                        functions, to report regularly to the District Group, and
                                        the Chief Executive of the department, about the
                                        performance by the Local Group of its functions
 Deputy           Cr Joe Jurisevic    • Provide advice and support to the Chair and the Local

                                      • Chair Local Group meetings in the absence of the Chair
                                      • Provide a link between the Local Group and Council
                                      • Participate in the issuing of public information and
                                        warnings
                                      • Chair the Recovery Committee if required
 Local            Director            • Coordinate disaster operations for the Local Group,

                                        strategic decisions of the Local Group about disaster
