   •   Provides details for medical and health services support.

Appendix 8: Community Health
   • Provides assistance in the protection of the community via temporary or preventative health
     measures to minimise the threats to public health both during and following a disaster.

Appendix 9: Public Information and Warnings
   • Provides the guidelines for the public awareness and education programs undertaken by
     members of the Local Group and also the procedure for issuing warnings or advice pre,
     during or post an event.

Appendix 10: Infrastructure and Essential Services
   • Provides the guidelines for protection and restoration of infrastructure before, during and
     after an event and identifies key resources and assistance that can be deployed.

Appendix 11: Rescue
   • Details circumstances which may require the rescue of people and the support rescue
     agencies and their activation procedure.

Appendix 12: Transport
   • To coordinate the use of transportation resources to support the agencies and other
     community support groups.

Appendix 13: Logistics
   • Process to manage the receipt and delivery of supplies and resupplies.

Appendix 14: Emergency Debris Storage and Disposal
   • Operational guidance for the management of inert debris where large volumes are
     generated and exceed Council’s normal operational capacity.

Appendix 15: Asbestos Containing Material
   • Framework for joint response to management of asbestos containing material between the
     Local Group and other government and private stakeholders.


10.9 Threat specific planning and all hazards arrangements
This Plan is based on the all hazards, all agencies approach which recognises that although
counter measures will often vary with specific hazards, is desirable to establish a single set of
management arrangements capable of encompassing all hazards.

However, as each type of event will have its own special requirements, to aid response for extreme
or high risk hazards some additional threat specific plans have been included in this disaster
management plan as follows:
