M2677 - IR response
Council Issue 14 – Acoustic Amenity The site abuts a property which includes an access point and storage area for a commercial activity which are located within close proximity of the proposed dwellings. It is likely that this existing land use will detrimentally impact on the acoustic amenity and privacy of occupants of the proposed development. Information Required Clarification as to how the proposed building design ameliorates the potential amenity impacts of the adjoining commercial business. Response. In response to this matter, an Acoustic report has been prepared by Decibell Consulting (Refer to Attachment E). The report assesses the potential impacts and provides recommendations that ensure that any potential amenity impacts on the development are ameliorated. These building treatments include acoustic glazing treatments to dwellings’ windows and sliding doors as outlined within the report. This correspondence and attachments represent a response to all the information requested, in accordance with s13.2 of the Development Assessment Rules. We trust the above and enclosed information satisfactorily addresses Council’s Information Request requirements.
