DESCRIPTION OF POWER DELEGATED                                                   LEGISLATION

Power, as registered owner of the deed of grant or lessee of a freeholding Section 24(3)
lease of a reservation for a public purpose to be sold under section 24(1), to
apply to the Governor in Council to buy the land.
Power to appeal against the Minister’s determination of the unimproved value Section 25(2)
of land to be sold under section 24(1) of the Land Act 1994.
Power, as trustee, lessee or registered owner, to agree to the Minister’s Section 26(2)
proposal to change the boundaries of a lease, deed of grant or deed of grant in
trust where the Governor in Council is resuming possession of all or part of a
reservation and the boundaries of the reservation are not stated in the lease,
deed of grant or deed of grant in trust.
Power, as lessee, registered owner or trustee, to appeal the Minister’s decision Section 26(4)
to change the boundaries of a lease, deed of grant or deed of grant in trust
where the Governor in Council is resuming possession of all or part of a
reservation and the boundaries of the reservation are not stated in the lease,
deed of grant or deed of grant in trust.
Power, as lessee or registered owner, to buy a forest entitlement area under Section 26B(2)
sections 24 and 25.
Power, as lessee or registered owner, to appeal against the value decided by Section 26B(8)
the Minister for commercial timber on a forest entitlement area that the local
government is buying.
Power, to apply to the Minister for the dedication of a reserve.                Section 31C(1)
Power to give notice of the intention to apply for the dedication of a reserve. Sections 31C(2)
