3. Details of Submission
I (We), make the following submission:
I have no objection to the actual hotel however there needs to be a clearer picture on traffic, parking & pedestrian safety.
The independent traffic report was conducted during the quietest month of the year (July). I believe this report needs
to be redone during Spring or Summer as there is definitely going to be a major impact on traffic congestion - an accurate report will enable
a clearer picture of the challenges a project this size is going to cause. Pedestrian safety during the construction phase and afterwards - needs to be considered
Major issue to the area is going to be staff parking - residents won't be able to park out the front of their own properties - we already struggle over summer getting a park.
Possibly permit or restricted parking in the Streets surrounding (Banksia, Jan St, Coral Tree Av, Grant St)
Staff should be made park onsite at the hotel.
(if necessary, use separate sheet of paper and attached)
