    Amendment No. 5

    That Item A be amended to read:
    A.   Approve the Noosa Shire Draft Housing Strategy provided at Attachment 1 with the
         changes noted below, for the purpose of community engagement in accordance with the
         Consultation and Communications Plan provided at Attachment 2;
         1.     That the wording in Section 6.4.4. in the Noosa Shire Housing Strategy
                (Attachment 1) be amended to read:
                “Partner with and advocate for owners of approved age care sites to encourage
                optimum outcomes and their timely development, providing such sites do not
                require the clearing of remnant vegetation.”
         2.     That the wording in Section 6.6.1. be amended to read:
                “Advocate to State Government for improved sustainability measures for all
                housing to reduce energy consumption and costs to households, and to amend
                planning regulations to enable councils to set their own sustainability requirements
                in regard to the built form requirements of a Planning Scheme.”
                                                                            Carried unanimously.

    That Item A, 2. be amended to read:
    2.   That the wording in Section 6.6.1. be amended to read:
         “Advocate to State Government for improved sustainability measures for all housing to
         provide all abilities access and to reduce energy consumption and costs to households,
         and to amend planning regulations to enable councils to set their own sustainability
         requirements in regard to the built form requirements of a Planning Scheme.”

    That Council note the report by the Principal Strategic Planner to the Special Meeting dated
    23 June 2022 and
