1. Lukes Road.
10 24 2. Main residence driveway, leading up to the proposed residence, with avenue trees guiding views over surrounding
paddocks and feature whilst buffering views to Cooroy Mountain as you approach.
3. Entry feature Flame Tree, boulders cluster, Lepidozamia and Isolepsis, sat in front of signage as a signature entry to the
residence. Species are all referenced to the gardens inside the property.
10 2 15 4. Proposed stone wall, using ‘Wamberal’ variety, that is wrapped under an integral coloured, off form concrete wall. Form
of wall matches that of the main residence, while ‘Blakes Farm’ signage and property number sits here. Electronic gate
slides behind the wall.
13 5. Cluster of Grass trees and boulders sits at the junction to the proposed shed and main driveway. Planting references
that round the residence.
24 6. Proposed Machinery shed, repositioned from original location to be away from Riparian protection zone.
7. Cattle crush, using black stained, timber hardwood fencing. Crush has been shifted also to stay out of Riparian
10 protection zone.
8. Cluster of grass trees, boulders and Isolepsis, at the second junction where workers cottage splits. Cluster references
first junction but also rest of residence.
26 9. Low lying, rambling gardens consisting of native species in clumps wrap around driveways and lawns. Species consist
of Dianella, Native Ferns, Casurina, Isolepsis, Zoysia as well as native grasses for added diversity. Boulders and feature
shrubs Lepidozamia and Zamia, give the gardens volume. At the edges, gardens run seamlessly to the lawns and
10 paddocks surrounding, creating a visual taper to the trees sitting in them.
10. Natural infiltration swale, to catch any water run off from driveway and dams. Native groundcovers and shrubs will be
used, to ensure it blends seamlessly into the surrounding gardens and landscape. Areas are not accessible by cattle, to
ensure protection and stabilisation. Swale is edged by natural boulders and isolepsis, Zoysia and other native grasses,
11. Proposed and Existing natural screening, shade and amenity trees added around the structures, providing external
24 screening and gardens of buildings to soften external views from around the site. Views from each structure and
13 Workers Cottage are protected, as the trees screen views around the property, while also proving natural shade relief.
15 12. Property boundary buffering gardens, using large native trees, shrubs and groundcovers complementary to the existing
species, provides buffering to the neighbouring residences surrounding, while providing panoramic views around over
2 Mount Cooroy and further surrounds. Gardens are 20-30 metres wide to allow sufficient buffering, to protect, stabilise
and expand on the existing species.
13. Riparian zone from the exisitng waterways to be protected and rehabilitated in consultation with Noosa Landcare.
14. Workers Cottage driveway splitting off from residence driveway.
15. Livestock Paddock 1.
16. Livestock Paddock 3.
17. Existing shed to be refurbished as horse stables. Gardens and screening trees have been set around the shed to soften
24 external views.
18. Stable run, leading off refurbished stables.
19. Proposed vege patch, with car parking area in front for quick access. Parking area uses turfgrid, as a more natural
alternative to concrete.
20. Proposed chicken coup attached to vege patch.
21. Workers cottage orchard with a smaller selection of trees in a grid arrangement and north facing. Orchard is closer to
the workers cottage to provide vegetation buffer and screening from the north east, as well as easy access.
22. Exisitng residence on site to be renovated as the proposed Workers Cottage. Cottage is set within lawns and gardens,
24 to provide natural screening and integration with the landscape.
23. Manicured, shade tolerant lawns that wrap around workers cottage, before tapering up to native sprawling gardens.
24. Black, stained hardwood cattle fencing.
25. Existing, stone retaining wall, buffered by gardens on the inside. Paddock 3 sits above at the higher level.
26. Proposed swale and creek crossing, using an off form, integral coloured 15m bridge. Bridge structure is non-intrusive
to the protected waterways, and allows for swale and overland flow run off underneath, and protects the low lying wet
15 24 crossing of site.
