1. SITE DETAILS
1.1 Background
PLM21/0056 - A pre-lodgement meeting was held on 13/10/21 wherein the following advice was
provided by an external planning consultant working within Council in relation to flood hazard.
Flood Hazard Overlay Code
The site is affected by the Flood Hazard Overlay Code. The development would need
demonstrate that an effective evacuation route remains passable, with sufficient flood
warning time, to enable residents on Lot 2 to progressively evacuate to safe areas above the
probable maximum flood (PMF) event as defined by the Noosa Plan 2020. This would require
the access to proposed Lot 2 to achieve flood immunity to a PMF standard.
