I wish to make a submission regarding DA ref: MCU18/0138 - from Professional Offices to Education - Type 3 Adult & Ancillary Carpark.

As a long time member, volunteer and supporter of U3A Noosa, I value the opportunities it provides for sharing experiences in a wide range of interest groups in the pursuit of learning and knowledge accumulation, social interaction, companionship, fun and friendship which is so important for retirees and the elderly who can very easily become lonely and isolated. I constantly hear the sentiment 'I'd be lost without it'.

I attend U3A frequently and have never had a problem with accessing parking close by, particularly since permit parking has been available at the Catholic Church and which always has available spaces.

Although necessary restrictions have been placed on overall house numbers which has impacted on the accessibility to some classes, U3A Noosa continues to offer a wide variety of experiences for our more senior members and provides a much needed service for our local community.
