I can confirm that from our perspective, SARA’s early referral response does not require an amendment due to the application also involving a material change of use for a landing. The early referral response is still relevant to the operational work (prescribed tidal works) aspect of the development.

Thank you for your application however cannot be accepted at this time.
New jetty applications require a combined Landing (MCU) and Jetty (OPW) application as required under The Noosa Plan 2020. Please refer to The Noosa Plan 2020 9.4.9 Waterways Works Code for further information. The DA Form 1 will require amendments to reflect this.
For areas within the Noosa Waters canal system, owner’s consent is required from Noosa Council as the trustee of the canal system. The owner’s consent can be obtained from Council’s Property Department and must be provided with your application for the Landing. Requests must be directed to: [email protected] Attention Property Department.
Failure to submit owner’s consent at the time of the application means that the application is not properly made and will be returned.
Prior to submitting your application, please confirm with the State that their early response doesn’t need to change.
