EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
At Noosa Council’s Ordinary Meeting of Thursday 21 July 2022, Council endorsed the formation of
a Destination Management Plan Project Control Group.
As an outcome of this report, Council approved an EOI process commencing 25 July – 8 August
2022 to appoint up to 3 additional community members with relevant community and industry
experience as well as qualifications.
Council also recommended that a report on the appointment of the community members be provided
to the next General Committee meeting on Monday 15 August.
Accordingly, this report recommends 3 additional community and/or industry members for
appointment to the DMPPCG and documents the compliant procurement process undertaken by
council officers to identify the three additional members.
In addition to the appointment of 3 community members to the PCG, given the very high calibre of
applications it is recommended Council from a Community Panel intended to be engaged at key
milestones in the DMP process and that the remaining 26 applicants be invited to join this panel.
