The primary change to the Residential Aged Care facility and the Independent Living Units
relates to the deletion of the skillion roofs which have been replaced with hip style roofs. Whilst it
is arguable that the skillion roofs provide for a light weight appearance it is noted that the
proposed built form accords with the Noosa Plan requirements for roof pitch and eaves, with the
minimum roof pitch being 10 degrees and overhangs of at least 600mm provided. An external
finishes schedule has been provided which provides for a palette of muted and earthy tones.
