3. Details of Submission
I (We), make the following submission:
I object to the material change of use being applied for because:
1. This land is zoned as open space recreation under the Noosa Plan, and should only be made available for short term
low to mid cost visitor accommodation, reflective of the site’s previous use as a caravan park and as per previous
approved development for the site
2. The density, quantity and prices of the houses and units contained in the new proposal is in no way consistent with an
offering of low to mid cost visitor accommodation with an ‘open space’ feel. Quite to the contrary, it squeezes as much
expensive permanent accommodation as is possible into the site.
3. The proposal does not comply with the Noosa Plan.
4. The amenity of Peregian Beach village would be negatively impacted by the increased traffic resulting from such a
development both a) during construction of such a massive development, and b) permanently afterwards, due to the
significant increase of new residents within such a close proximity of the village center.
5. The amenity of the adjoining recreational area, including Veggie Village, the village oval and the Kindergarten would be
significantly negatively impacted by such a dense development
(if necessary, use separate sheet of paper and attach)
