VISION
The arrival is subtle and natural, the materials are local and hold a connection to the place. The gardens are influenced by the surroundings as the sculptural planting and forms lead the
experience through into the landscape. Taking from the natural surrounds the residence is tied to the place through the vegetation, the natural materials and the local wildlife it attracts.

3. Street frontage and verge which proposes to retain and protect significant and native existing trees including species of Tuckeroo, Pandanus, and Melalueca.
Existing trees that are required to be removed for the proposed driveway are proposed to be reinstate with like for like species and advanced sizes and
include Banksia, Pandanus (Pandanus a potential species to be relocated otherwise replaced) and Tuckeroo. Existing trees are supplemented by native
shrubs and groundcovers which taper up from the road edge whilst providing driveway sight lines and improving the existing buffer to the built form from
the street. Species include Banksia, Austromyrtus, Baeckea, Westringia, Lepidozamia, Scaevola, Viola, Zoysia and Ajuga. Proposed planting is intended to
supplement the native vegetation that currently buffers the frontage and built form whilst providing a safe and private entry to the private residence which
is set in the dune.
4. Entry court which uses natural ‘Scala’ stone.
5. Proposed bin store that is mirrored by the bin store on neighbouring property. Structure is capped by a planter which hosts planting that is native and
complimentary to the architecture while providing sufficient screening to the adjoining residence. Species include Banksia, Westringia, Lepidozamia, Desert
Star, with Scaevola, Pandorea and Ipomea used as trailing plants and groundcovers.

18. Eastern boundary gardens which are kept low to take in and appreciate the view, and create a seamless transition to the existing dune planting. Species

Lepidozamia, Brids Nest Ferns and Grass Trees used throughout for interest and added structure, while lower groundcovers include Ficinia grass, Scaevola
and Baeckea groundcovers which will get volume and give some layering to the smaller Zoysia, Viola and Pigface which will sprawl through the gardens.
Planting has been designed to taper up from the groundcovers to the larger shrubs and reduce the visuals of the sloped garden landform.
19. Frontage balcony planter which provides significant greening and softening to the frontage through native shrubs, groundcovers and trailing plants. Larger
shrubs planted include Westringia, Banksia and Lepidozamia, and are grouped with Ipomea, Flat n Fruity, and Pandorea. Planting is structured in clumps but

3 let to grow and cover the front planter, with Monstera including variegated varieties added as a feature around the pool. Planting is build up and layered to
screen out the neighbours on the south western corner of the planter.

Lepidozamia, Isolepsis, Scaevola and Westringia flat and fruity. Pandorea and Ipomea are planted and provide trailing and screening to the terrace below.
25. Feature rooftop frontage planter which is a predominantly Zoysia groundcover with areas of sand used to represent the surrounding dunes and beaches.
Feature boulders are used for texture, while Ipomea is planted and allowed to cover the planter as it would the dune, then trail over the front edge to
provide a veil to the terrace below accentuating the view. Lepidozamia and Westringia Flat n Fruity are planted around the boulders to add variety but keep

Existing trees that are required to be removed for the proposed driveway are proposed to be reinstate with like for like species and advanced sizes and
include Banksia, Pandanus (Pandanus a potential species to be relocated otherwise replaced) and Tuckeroo. Existing trees are supplemented by native
shrubs and groundcovers which taper up from the road edge whilst providing driveway sight lines and improving the existing buffer to the built form from
the street. Species include Banksia, Austromyrtus, Baeckea, Westringia, Lepidozamia, Scaevola, Viola, Zoysia and Ajuga. Proposed planting is intended to
supplement the native vegetation that currently buffers the frontage and built form whilst providing a safe and private entry to the private residence which
is set in the dune.
4. Entry court which uses natural ‘Scala’ stone.
5. Proposed bin store that is mirrored by the bin store on neighbouring property. Structure is capped by a planter which hosts planting that is native and
