                       Development Application MCU10/2083

Dear Sir,

I wish to OBJECT to this development application for the following reasons,

       •    the site is currently zoned residential under the Noosa Plan and should not be
            changed to commercial
       •    the types of shops, cafe's etc planned for the site already exist within easy
            reach of the area and in good numbers.
       •    additional types of shops etc. could cause closures of existing premises and
            with that undue economic hardship and unemployment.
       •    the development will have negative impacts on those residents living close by,
            including traffic problems with entrance to the site to be via a small residential
            street, noise, cooking odours, late night lighting and rubbish.
       •    property values will be reduced for those living adjacent to the site.

There is no justification for this development and it should not be approved.
