PM Submission - Dain & Jill Stone - MCU21/0054
Subject: Attention: Assessment Manager MCU21-0054 From: Dain Stone Date: 2021-06-04T00:05:25+00:00 To: Mailbox Council Mail External sender. Do not open links or attachments if the email is unexpected or unusual or impersonates staff. We are writing to express our objection to the proposed development MCU21/0054 at 30 Kingfisher Drive, Peregian Beach. Kingfisher Drive and Peregian Beach do not need further houses of this type - Short Term Letting. Witness the chaos caused by two AirBnB houses near each other in Lorilet St which are a source of constant complaint. Regardless of its zoning as medium density housing, the area surrounding 30 Kingfisher Drive is predominately permanent residential. The main problem is parking. What is not needed is a short term rental house that will change the nature of the area, in terms of increased noise and traffic. There is already adequate short term accomodation in Peregian, and more to come with the development near the supermarket in David Low Way. The proposal can only be detrimental to the area, and should be rejected. Best regards, Dain and Jill Stone 48 Kingfisher Drive, Peregian Beach.
