Compliance with this FMP is compulsory and incorporates the use of expert consultants, including a

guidelines and policies of the Management Plan.
1.4. Site Location
The project Site is located at 43 and 45 Summit Road, Pomona formally described as Lot 3 on
SP186019 and Lot 2 on RP186019. The Lot comprises approximately 3.4 hectares and is zoned as
Rural Residential. Surrounding land use includes Low Density Residential and Environmental
Management and Conservation Areas. A map showing the Site in context of surrounding land has
been provided as Figure 1 and the proposed development Site layout and tree retention plan in Figure
2.
The Site has been historically cleared, leaving approximately 20% of the Site as remnant vegetation.
A small pocket of Regional Ecosystem type 12.3.1a is present in the south-west corner. This RE is
described as gallery rainforest (notophyll vine forest) on alluvial plains and provides habitat for
Coxen's fig parrot (Cyclopsitta diophthalma coxeni) and Richmond birdwing butterfly (Ornithoptera
richmondia).
The far-eastern portion of the Site is mapped as RE 12.9-10.1, described as tall open forest often with
Eucalyptus resinifera, E. grandis, E. robusta and Corymbia intermedia on sedimentary rocks, usually
coastal. This ecosystem is known to provide suitable habitat for Koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus).
Two riverine drainage lines flow through the Site. Each is located within the mapped remnant
ecosystems, meeting north of the lot boundary and continuing to Six Mile Creek.
The proposed area of works and the vegetation management area addressed in this report do not
intercept any remnant ecosystem mapping. Vegetation within the development area contains a mix of
maintained native and exotic tree species and landscaped lawns. Dominant tree species include Slash
pine (Pinus elliottii), Mango (Mangifera indica) and Southern salwood (Acacia disparrima).
