iii. Open forest dominated by Flooded gum (Eucalyptus grandis) along both watercourses at the
eastern and western boundaries. Vegetation in these areas is generally mature with little mid-
storey cover. Additional species included Maidens wattle (Acacia maindenii), Pink bloodwood
(Corymbia intermedia), Brush box (Lophostemon confertus) and Tallowwood (Eucalyptus
microcorys, Figure 6). The community at the western waterway falls into the rehabilitation area.
See the RMP for details on rehabilitation and regeneration. The remnant vegetation at the eastern
boundary falls outside of the clearing area and will not be impacted by works.

No threatened flora was identified during the Site inspection. A full list of flora identified at the Site is
provided in APPENDIX II Plant Survey.

                       3.2.2. Fauna

While on Site, fauna species observed included Noisy miner (Manorina melanocephala), Laughing
kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae), Australian magpie (Gymnorhina tibicen) and Crested pigeon
               (Ocyphaps lophotes).

Scats from a large macropod, most likely the Eastern Grey Kangaroo (Macropus giganteus) were
observed throughout the open landscaped areas. Fresh scratches were also found adjacent to the
western watercourse; however the species could not be confirmed. These are detailed along with
               habitat features in Table 2.

The areas to be cleared provide only minimal habitat and resources, supporting fauna commonly
found in urban and peri-urban environments. Species such as Noisy miner are expected in these
areas with limited reliance on more complex forest ecosystems. Large hollow-bearing trees on the
clearing boundaries will be preferred by species such as Common brushtail possum (Trichosurus
vulpecula), as well as parrot species tolerant of urban disturbance.

There was no evidence of Koala occurrence on Site during the inspection, however they may still
occur during clearing works. Management actions in the event a Koala is located on Site during works
is detailed below in Section 4.1. Presence of CREVNT Fauna.
