SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA                                                              10 JULY 2020


MOTION 5

That pursuant to section 94 of the Local Government Regulation 2012, Council resolves to adopt
the overall plans, annual implementation plans and benefitted area maps specified in the Revenue
Statement contained in the Noosa Council 2020/21 Budget document (provided as Attachment 1
to the Special Meeting report dated 10 July 2020) for the special charges it resolves to levy under
resolution 4.

MOTION 6

That pursuant to section 94 of the Local Government Act 2009 and section 99 of the Local
Government Regulation 2012, Council resolves to levy the utility charges for the 2020/21 financial
year as set out in the Revenue Statement contained in the Noosa Council 2020/21 Budget
document (provided as Attachment 1 to the Special Meeting report dated 10 July 2020).

MOTION 7

That pursuant to section 94 of the Local Government Act 2009 and section 103 of the Local
Government Regulation 2012, Council resolves to levy the separate charges for the 2020/21
financial year as set out in the Revenue Statement contained in the Noosa Council 2020/21 Budget
document (provided as Attachment 1 to the Special Meeting report dated 10 July 2020).

The separate charges set out in the Revenue Statement are:
    Environment Levy
    Sustainable Transport Levy
    Heritage Levy

MOTION 8

That pursuant to section 107 of the Local Government Regulation 2012 and section 114 of the Fire
and Emergency Services Act 1990, Council resolves that rates and utility charges, and the
Queensland Government’s Emergency Management, Fire and Rescue Levy, for the year ending
30 June 2021 will be levied six monthly and as set out in the Revenue Statement contained in the
Noosa Council 2020/21 Budget document (provided as Attachment 1 to the Special Meeting
report dated 10 July 2020).

MOTION 9

That pursuant to section 122 of the Local Government Regulation 2012, Council resolves to grant
concessions to ratepayers as set out in the Revenue Statement (contained in the Noosa Council
2020/21 Budget document) and Council’s General Rate Donations Policy.

MOTION 10

That pursuant to section 118 of the Local Government Regulation 2012, Council resolves that all
rates and charges, and the State Government’s Emergency Management, Fire and Rescue Levy
must be paid within 60 days after the date of issue of the rates notice.

MOTION 11

That pursuant to section 133 of the Local Government Regulation 2012, Council resolves that all
overdue rates and charges bear interest as set out in the Revenue Statement contained in the
Noosa Council 2020/21 Budget document (provided as Attachment 1 to the Special Meeting
report dated 10 July 2020).
